How many Dams are in Pakistan? Why dams are Important ? People should be facilitated to provide water for domestic, industrial and irrigation purposes & help in preventing floods . Maps and photos are not required as like Gaj Dam in District Dadu Sindh

 Dams are said to be an important source of water supply and of high importance for various other reasons. They supply the water for various means, including domestic, irrigation, and industrial uses.

Dams are also involved in hydroelectric power generation and in river navigation. The application of these dams is much more important in daily activities including cooking, cleaning, bathing, washing,  drinking water, gardening, and cultivation.

Dams provide a range of economic, environmental, and social benefits,

Dams help in preventing floods.

60 Small Dams Built, 31 Under Construction In Sindh, Says Murtaza Wahab

He said that the number of total proposed dams stands at 122 and the provincial government was committed to accomplish all the dams projects at the earliest. He added that some 12 dams were located in Nagarparkar–Mithi, while 14 dams in Kohistan-I Dadu and 24 dams in Kohistan-II Jamshoro range.
